I do a project on weathering & erosion called "Weathering Heights."

The students have to write a short story (500 words minimum) on weathering and erosion.  It must include at least 10 of the main ideas as listed in the test book.

If they give me the list of 10 ideas, highlight them in the story, and use them correctly, the student has a 65%  The rest is straight grammar.

If they write it as a script, they get 5 bonus points.

If they act out their script OR read their short story out loud in class, they get 5 bonus points.

If they have done the above, they can then act out in someone else's script and earn an additional 5 bonus points.

All total, they can earn 115% as a unit exam grade.
