Rock Cycle Book

First Draft due:

Final Draft due:

Assignment: work with a partner to create an illustrated children’s book about the rock cycle.

Early Childhood books:

  • Must cover all three parts of the rock cycle
  • Illustrations for every page
  • Don’t get too specific, remember this is for younger children so don’t make it extremely long either.  Make sure it gives an overview of how changes occur in the rock cycle.

Middle Childhood books:

  • Must cover all three parts of the rock cycle
  • Include illustrations as much as possible
  • Make sure to include the aspect of time
  • Be specific with the changes that take place during the rock cycle
  • This is for older children so you need to be specific with the scientific content.
