How to View a Google Earth File

By Steve Kluge

Many people had problems or have asked how to view the Google Earth file available here: ( http://stevekluge.com/geoscience/ges/angleofrepose.kmz )

You have to have Google Earth installed on your machine. Then, simply double clicking the file (any kml or kmz file!) will openGoogle Earth and load the file. Depending on how your computer handles attachments, you may have to save the attachment to yourlocal disk, and open it from there.

The file ends up in "Temporary Places" in the "Places" Sidebar in Google Earth.

This file (http://stevekluge.com/geoscience/ges/geimages/howtoview.jpg ) will lead you through what you have to know to view the content in Google Earth.
