FREE VERSe

Free verse is just what it says it is - poetry that is written
without proper rules about form, rhyme, rhythm, meter, etc.

Fog
by Carl Sandburg

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Write a few sentences (in paragraph form) about a rainy day.

Now break those sentences and ideas up into a poem!  Don’t forget to use imagery!
