A five line poem that follows a specific syllable pattern. 
(There is another variation that is based on parts of speech—similar to a diamante—
however we will concentrate on the syllable method.)

Line 1 - two syllables
Line 2 - four syllables
Line 3 - six syllables
Line 4 - eight syllables
Line 5 - two syllables

The Sun


The Sun
A ball of light
The closest star to Earth
It gives us warmth and energy
Gives life!
